There is no position for me again, all is over - Sir John

The former general secretary of the ruling party Npp Lawyer Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John said the rumours about his appointment to be the boss of port and harbour is false.

I have not received any appointment from the president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo.

He said, there is a proverb saying if you are looking for a kingship, there are
people you use to get and after you get the position there are people you walk with.

Sometimes you surround yourself with different people and that is how it is.

Sir John said, there is no position for me now and all is over.

The former general secretary of the NPP Lawyer Owusu Afriyie lost his seat as the general secretary of the party in 2014 after he made a comment that,  "If Nana Akufo Addo is in the wheelchair we will bring him as our flagbearer"

Some people in the party and the delegates felt the comment was wrong because of the position he occupied as the general secretary of the party. This raises agitation in the party that, he cannot be a neutral to the other contestants who will compete with Nana Akufo Addo as the flagbearer of the party.

Mr. Owusu Afriyie Sir John responded to the general secretary of the NDC Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia and the NDC communicators, saying Nana Akufo Addo is old to become the President of Ghana.

Many people thought Sir John will be the first person to get the position in Prez Akufo Addo's government in returns of his support to President Akufo Addo.
