The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho said the allegations levelled against the EC Officials on corruption scandal are personal issues between the officials.
He said, "Madam Georgina Opoku Amankwah and Madam Charlotte Osei was in the same class in Lagon and they were my seniors in school and the late President Atta Mills got
a scholarship for the two to study in Canada , There, they got their problems"
Koku Anyidoho said, "I'm told they had personal problems in Canada when they were schooling according to the one lawyer I heard".
I am not in support of corruption but this issue should be dealt in a legal way not in partisan way, "many are saying all the accusers should step down but they can also decide not to step down because both accusers have a legal backing and I will plead to the president to look at the issue carefully".
The NDC party will hold a meeting today in our party office about this EC allegations and counter allegations and our stand is, the government should not treat this matter as partisan and I believe our press conference stated it clear as the minority leader Haruna Iddrisu said in our last press conference on this issue.
Speaking to Nhyira fm in Kumasi, Koku Anyidoho said, I am a general secretary of the NDC party and I don't speak on family matters so I will not comment of professor Mills son in response about the autopsy report but I remember the report was given to Cadman Mills so I don't know where he is coming from, He added.
