J.J Rawlings and Martin Amidu are dangerous to the NDC party - Yamoah Ponko

The former MCE for Ejisu Juaben Wofa Afrifa Yamoah Ponko says he supports the call to suspend the leading member of the National Democratic Congress party Mr. Martin A.B.K Amidu, the petitioners appeal are "long overdue", the party has tolerated Mr. Martin Amidu stayed too long to be sacked, so the petitioners have kept long to ask for his suspension from the party.

According to him, the then leading member who was a running mate to the late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is pursuing the
agenda for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stay in the opposition for long.

Yamoah Ponko said, "Former President Jerry John Rawlings and Mr. Martin Amidu are dangerous to the National Democratic Congress party and they have stayed in for long to be suspended or even expelled from the party".

He said, "Jerry John Rawlings and Mr. Martin Amidu prepared the ground for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the 2016 election and they succeeded".

"Nobody is bigger than the party or bigger than the laws in the party, not even the former President J.J Rawlings to be suspended too. Their talks show clearly they are working for the NPP party including Rawlings wife Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings they did all they can to send NDC to the opposition and yet they succeeded". He added.

He added, The NPP did the same to sack Paul Afoko the party chairman and his vice chairman Sammy Crabb and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong the then general secretary of their party and they won the 2016 election, though we spoke against, it was politics and politicking so do NDC follow now.

Speaking to Nhyira FM in Kumasi Yamoah Ponko said I have never deluded the NDC party on anywhere that, My party NDC are corrupt, now look at the NPP in power, just seven months in government corruption is everywhere and this is what Madam Valerie Sawyerr is saying to the former president Rawlings to speak against now but he is silent, Madam Valerie Sawyerr is making reasonable statement we should pay attention to.

Wofa Afrifa Yamoah Ponko made an allegation, says "Mr. Martin Amidu envy the former president Mahama, Martin Amidu feels pains for a young Man from North like him Martin Amidu has become a vice president and then the president so he will do everything to bring him down".

Rawlings will never change, we approached him several times and he will make you believe everything is ok but he will not change. He said.
